Last week, Métis artist and activist Christi Belcourt took Twitter by storm with #StopStealingOurKids, an impassioned plea that called attention to how foster care has become the new residential schools. Earlier today, Belcourt again took to Twitter, lauding the efforts of Cora Morgan and Kyra Wilson, both First Nations family advocates and asking for help and support for their efforts to create a system designed BY Indigenous peoples, FOR Indigenous peoples with funds earmarked to keep Indigenous children within their cultures.
